May11 Kristen & Elliott’s Wedding {In Photographs} 2013

At the end of our trip to SC, we left the girls with family and took our new beach bum up to Rocky Mount, North Carolina for a dear friend’s wedding.

It was nice to get away, sip some Starbucks, and have some adult conversation without getting interrupted.  Anybody else know what I’m sayin’???  Keller sat there, ignoring the window streaks and dutifully sucking his thumb like he knew that was exactly what he was supposed to do.

He was thriving off of the one-on-one time all weekend.  I knew he would.  I’ve always told Steven, “He is a wannabe only child.”

 …and my suspicions were correct.

The wedding was a guests’ dream come true.  We had chocolate, snacks, and the local town info waiting for us in our hotel room upon arrival.  A brunch was planned for the morning of the wedding and we were able to visit with old friends over fruit and danishes.  I should’ve gotten pictures, but that only-child-wannabe I was telling you about?  Yep.  He kept me all to himself religiously.

Then the wedding came around at 4pm, and when I caught a glimpse of my groomsman {right} I just might have fallen in love all over again.  Seersucker gets me.  And gets me good.

I told Keller he could fend for himself in the stroller because there was way too much cuteness calling my name to be photographed.

I think Keller might’ve realized he had met his match with this handsome fellow.  He stuck that magic thumb back in his mouth and let me snap the photos.  Owen, Keller is officially jealous.

Then the bride and her daddy walked up and I thought I had died and gone to heaven.  Does she not look gorgeous?!

These are the moments, right before walking down the aisle, where you tell yourself to soak it all in, but it all goes so fast anyway.  At least, that’s how I felt on my wedding day.

 Daddy of the bride.

 Where’s the ring bearer pillow???

Somebody does have the rings right???

I really liked this guest book idea!

Elliott’s mom walking out right after the ceremony…she is just lovely.

Hubs and the groom: friends since grade school.

Kristen’s a girl after my own heart.  Gray and yellow + mason jars and straws = perfection.

No nap for the beach bum; so after three rolls he was pretty docile.

 Keller rocks his sandals with the big boys.  {Aaron was Steven’s best man in our wedding.}

While the reception was innocently going on, the men wreaked havoc on Elliot’s car.

Then, Levi made his move. ;)

There’s me.  With hubs and Trey and Emily.

Swapping stories…these boys go back since pre-K I think.

Seriously.  Somebody tell me who she was, because she looks like a mini Jacqueline Kennedy and I could just eat all that southern charm UP.

People’s faces.  That’s what makes it all so great.

 Faces tell the story.

Way better than I could.

There’s Mrs. Kennedy again…saying goodbye as the couple rides off.

Congratulations, Elliott & Kristen!  We were honored to be apart of your special day.

And one more thing…Keller and the Anthro Zinc numbers you just saw in my latest photo shoot with the kids, were featured on THIS blog yesterday.  Check it out!
