Dec24 Last Minute Gift & Free Wrapping 2013

If you’re like me, you still have some loose ends to tie up before you’re ready for Christmas.  Scratch that.  I have long strands to tie up…picture miles and miles long and strewn everywhere at my house.

In short, I need quick and easy, free and beautiful to finish up my Christmas preparations.  Do you need that too?

I’ve been making oodles of this stuff for a quick, addicting, and cute Christmas gift for my neighbors, friends, and family members.  I named it “Snow Squares” to work for the holidays.  I know it’s borderline cheesy, but you can get away with cheesy this time of year. Amen?

All you need are 4 simple ingredients…

Snow Squares

ingredients:

::9 cups cereal {I used Great Value Rice Squares, but Crispix or Chex work great!}

::1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

::1/2 cup peanut butter

::1.5 cups powdered sugar

::gallon-sized ziplock bag

 directions:

1. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate; add peanut butter and mix until smooth.

2. Remove from heat, add cereal and stir until coated.

3. Pour powdered sugar into large ziplock bag, add coated cereal and shake until well coated. Store in airtight container.  {I throw mine in the freezer because I like this cooold.  And I want it done like, immediately.}

These would also make cute hostess’ gifts.

For my packaging, I used an old tomato sauce jar, some scrap fabric, and red and white baker’s twine…
